Dan Wolcott

Dan had early insight into the wood working business as a child, as his father was a general/electrical contractor. Years later, Dan decided to open his own family-run wood working business in 1981 and began Sheridan Woodworking, LLC in Sandy, Oregon. Dan and his wife Cheri moved his wood shop to the picturesque Walla Walla Valley in 2010. Upon entering Dan's shop today, you'll be greeted by the scent of sawdust in the air, and a friendly dog named Jester.

Dan specializes in custom furniture, kitchens, and solid surface countertops, and installs all of his own work. He prides himself in consistent, quality pieces and truly enjoys working with his customers. "I like the customers input and their creativity, and I try to make what they want come out of it," he says. Although he enjoys all styles of woodworking, Dan particularly enjoys mission or craftsman styles.

Upon beginning a project, Dan truly wants to receive and understand the client's creative direction. A sampling of questions he may ask include:

  • What is the overall vision for the project/piece?
  • What kind of wood(s) would you like to use?
  • What kind of finishes do you envision on this piece?

Dan primarily provides woodworking services throughout the greater Walla Walla region (eastern Washington), but is available to travel for installs or drop offs as well. Shipping is also available upon request.
